SCHOLARSHIPS
AMITA SCHOLARSHIPS:
The prime motive of the Trust is to fund education of socially challenged children at
primary and secondary school level. Funding is provided from the interest earned
from the corpus of the Trust.
There are three schemes presently in operation:

CREA-AMITA SCHOLARSHIPS: This scholarship currently funds 25 socially challenged children in 'Crea Children's Academy' run by the 'MANITHAM' Trust in Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu, India.
Total contribution Rs. 150,000 per annum

CAROLINE-AMITA SCHOLARSHIPS: This scheme is constituted in honour of a dedicated teacher Ms. Caroline, who spent nearly 25 years teaching at 'St. Raphael's Higher Secondary School ' in Chennai, Tamilnadu , India . Her untimely demise at the age of 50 is an irreplaceable loss to the teaching community. This scholarship currently funds 10 socially challenged children in 'St. Raphael's Higher Secondary School ' in Chennai, Tamilnadu , India .
Total contribution Rs. 30,000 per annum

LILY KALATHIL-AMITA SCHOLARSHIPS: This scheme is constituted in honour of a dedicated Nun of St. Anne's congregation who looked after socially challenged children for 35 years, until her demise in 2006. This scholarship currently funds 10 socially challenged children in ' St. James Home for Children' in Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu , India .
